Lightning Close Out Futsal Regular Season
The regular same wrapped up this week with most of the squads in action. Read the results for each team below. Playoffs begin next week so stay tuned to see where and whom the Lightning will be playing.
Trailing by one, the varsity girls scored two goals in the last two minutes with Shoshi putting home the game winner in the final seconds of a 6-5 win over Synergy. Genevieve led the team with four goals.
Dante and Elio scored two goals each to help secure the boys JV White claim a 4-2 victory over CAIS. They followed that up with a 7-3 win over CAIS in their regular season finale as Dante and Elio scored twice, while Jasper, Jamieson, and Max added one goal each.
Julian, Trey, Callum and Finn all found the back of the net in a contest that saw many lead changes en route to the boys JV Green’s 7-7 tie with KIPP Bayview. Then, in their final regular season contest the JV Green lost a close match to SF Friends by a final tally of 4-3. Finn, Leo and Trey eached scored one goal.
Malia scored three times, Maya scored twice, and Isabel and Rose scored once en route to the JV girls’ 7-1 win over SF Friends.
