Perspectives on Belonging

A primary goal of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee of the Board is to promote a culture and environment of belonging. During the month of April, the DEI Committee is spotlighting perspectives from community members that showcase the moments when connection and belonging make a difference at Live Oak. Please find the final installment of this series below. If you have enjoyed reading these personal glimpses into connection and inclusion at Live Oak, please share your feedback with the DEI Committee by emailing Ambrosia Fisher, ambrosia9a00@yahoo.com. Your feedback helps Live Oak identify the best ways to capture and share the perspectives within our school community.
“As a single parent, balancing the needs of life and work can be challenging and I appreciate what Live Oak does to support single working parents like myself. To have early morning and afternoon support is much appreciated and there is nothing more assuring as a parent to know my child is in safe hands so I can do my part to support our family.”
